FRVi Series Friability Tester

Item Description

Defined as the tendency for a tablet to crumble or break following external force or shock due to subsequent manufacturing steps, packaging or transportation and shipping. These pharmaceutical tablets not only require sufficient tablet hardness to ensure it does not chip in its finished product,but has to be sufficiently friable to disintegrate in the gastrointestinal tract and release the active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Chapters Ph. Eur. 2.9.7 and USP <1216> illustrate the reproducible and standardised methods and equipment to determine the friability of a pharmaceutical tablet.

The FRVi series friability tester is available in single or double drum test statoin capacities based on testing throughputs and productivity.
