Cell Detachment

Item Description

Cell detachment is a crucial process for routine maintenance and various applications involving adherent tissue and cell monolayers in culture. Selecting the appropriate detachment reagent for your specific purpose can significantly influence the success of your experiments.

In addition to traditional methods like Trypsin, Capricorn Scientific provides more gentle and convenient cell detachment and dissociation solutions, such as Accutase and Accumax, ensuring optimal results for your cell culture needs

Standard Features
  1. Accumax
Accumax Cell Dissociation Solution is a ready-to-use, non-mammalian, non-bacterial alternative to trypsin and collagenase for applications such as tissue dissociation, cell counting, and the dissociation of cell clumps, including spheroids. It contains a combination of proteolytic, collagenolytic, and DNase enzymes.Accumax enhances the accuracy of cell counts and, like Accutase (Cat. No. ACC-1B), does not affect the surface epitopes of cells, making it ideal for FACS analysis where even minor changes in cell properties can significantly impact results
  2. Accutase
Accutase is a cell detachment solution containing proteolytic and collagenolytic enzymes, specifically developed to provide gentle and effective detachment of adherent cells. It is ideal for routine cell detachment from standard tissue culture plasticware and adhesion-coated surfaces.Compared to traditional Trypsin/EDTA treatment, Accutase offers the advantage of being less damaging to cells, which results in improved cell viability. Additionally, there is no need to inactivate the enzymes with inhibitors or serum.

The Accutase solution is free from mammalian or bacterial-derived products.
